🚨 BREAKING: Medical interns have declined to report to their internship stations without a formal written commitment addressing their allowances and welfare concerns.

These are young doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals who have spent years preparing to serve the nation. They are asking for dignity, fairness, and assurance before dedicating themselves to saving lives.

Last time the Minister made an impromptu visit to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, he found only interns on the ground because interns were still there.

That cohort has since completed. The new one has refused to report until they are assured of their facilitation.
This time, the Minister found only medical students.

This is the clearest evidence yet of how heavily the system leans on interns to close the human resource gap.

Guys my suggestion is as medics we even change and stop using the title " intern" on someone who has finished the course, cause it brings a lot of confusion to the public and it gives the selfish leaders a chance to dodge paying the great work done
