🚨‼️ DEVELOPING: In MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man was seriously injured after a shooting 💥🔫 at a gas station in Orange Mound early Monday morning, September 7, 2026 at 4:00am, the Memphis Police Department said. The gas station is located at the corner of Southern Avenue and Boston Street.
The victim and the shooter came to the gas station together. The victim went into the station to do his business, on going back to the vehicle, the associate walked up to him without saying a word, pulled out a long gun, shot him and drove off from the scene down Southern in a light-colored Nissan.
🚨‼️ THROWBACK: An altercation between three individuals outside a Capitol Hill nightclub on the 18th of May 2026, led to a shooting 💥💥🔫 in which three people were shot and two seriously injured.
The shooter Ja’Mari McQueen, 18, got into an argument with another man outside the Cultura nightclub on East Pike Street shortly after 1 a.m. on May 18, according to charging documents.
Prosecutors said the confrontation escalated, and McQueen pulled out a gun and opened fire.
The man McQueen was allegedly arguing with was shot, and two bystanders, not believed to be involved in the dispute, were also hit. The age of the victims range from 23-28. They were rushed to Harborview Medical Center and all three victims survived.
McQueen pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree assault. A strict no-contact order is in place to protect all three victims.
