When you go to Prison to serve a court sentence, you are a “Prisoner” and you will be treated as one, regardless of what you “think” you were doing before being sentenced. “Late night raids” will happen when “prisoners” are found with contraband. This photograph, originally posted on my Facebook on 25 January 2013, is an authentic image from my time completing the Basic Officer Course at the United States Marine Corps Base Quantico.
Pictured with me are the then-Ambassador of the Maldives to the United States and the First Secretary.
I strongly condemn the recent misuse of AI technology to fabricate and circulate altered or misleading versions of this image on social media. Such deliberate dissemination of falsehoods undermines truth and erodes trust in digital spaces.
