Night of 24th July, a minor girl in Banda (13yrs) got into an e-rickshaw told to take her to her nani’s place in Fatehpur. Driver Naresh and his mate Ejaz instead took her to a dark spot near Nawab Tank / Medical College and tried to secsually assault her.

She fights back, bites one of them, runs screaming to a nearby dhaba, and people alerted the police. Girl is safe.

Police from Kotwali Nagar + Marka + SOG tracked them through CCTV and the vehicle. Within 48 hours they’re cornered. Suspects opened fire, police fired back. Ejaz takes a bullet in the leg, two cops also are injured. Both arrested. Illegal gun, cartridges and the same e-rickshaw are recovered.

This is how it should be done fast, no drama, no “investigating for weeks.” Zero tolerance actually meaning something.

Hope the case sticks hard under POCSO and they don’t walk free later.
