Thank you to @lcatadvocacy for your support. With S8715 passing the Health Committee, we're one step closer to expanding Medicaid access to Licensed Creative Arts Therapists services. This is crucial—New Yorkers on Medicaid need equitable mental health services now.
#DanielsLaw passing the mental health committee is a crucial milestone for trauma-informed, community-led crisis response for mental health and substance use crises. We must pass Daniel's Law in the Senate to ensure compassionate care for all NYers.

The Senate just passed my bill to create a Black youth suicide prevention task force. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people, & the suicide rate among Black youth aged 10-17 increased by 144% between 2007 & 2020. We must do better to protect our youth. 🔊
