@OnjaliRauf appreciation post!
I have never been so attached to a group of characters and kept stories so close to my heart. Having just finished The Night Bus Hero, it amazes how RaΓΊf can manage to inspire readers of all ages to make a difference in the world π
Thank you βΊοΈ
@MrBoothY6 As someone who has worked supply for years, I hadnβt taught reading in a while. Then I was lucky enough to be given my own class this year and I have been struggling with the best way to tackle it. This had some amazing ideas that I would love to try! Thank you βΊοΈ
If teaching doesnβt work out, I have planned out three full seasons of Drag Race, All Stars and Vs The World in case World of Wonder are looking for ideas for a season thatβs actually halfway decent.

@MrDanielBuck Smaller classes, hands down! No amount of extra planning time will give you the golden opportunity to spend more 1:1 time with your little learners βΊοΈ
Could anyone in this beautiful land of teacher Twitter recommend a personal laptop that works well for you in work too?
Thinking of retiring my 12 year old MacBook and thinking of a Chromebook instead?
Any thoughts or links would be appreciated! βΊοΈ
π BOOK FIND π
Aldi had a range of these wonderful, inclusive books for Β£2.50.
They included books on diversity, families, different bodies etc.
This one includes almost all of the categories and is so bright and colourful! Ideal for the classroom βΊοΈ

Is there anything more heartbreaking than falling in love with the characters and inclusive stories of a particular author, being inspired to create IDL lessons and activities for class novel studiesβ¦
β¦then finding out that author is a hypocritical transphobic? βΉοΈππ³οΈββ§οΈ π³οΈβπ
@ECTdiary@MrTs_NQTs Iβve taught a Romans topic with a P5 (year 4) and we tea-stained paper, used handwriting pens, marker pens or black paint to write Roman numerals up to 10, then 20, 50 & 100.
You could then also answer qβs in Roman numerals (your age, birthday, number of pupils in the classβ¦)
PODCAST RECOMMENDATIONS π§
Can anyone recommend some good podcasts to use as brain breaks. Ideally, mindfulness themed, short stories or something that encourages them to use their imaginations π€·πΌββοΈ
