I’m almost never on Twitter, for the usual reasons. Instead, you can find here at the following places:
Best bets:
Mastodon: @[email protected]
Bluesky: https://t.co/aZvReNPZn4
Blog: https://t.co/tMaUx0O1Wt
Sometimes:
Discord: MrAwdon#8150
Dreamwidth: rawdon
That was rather cathartic.
I deleted all of my lists as well.
If Twitter ever comes back from being a fascist mouthpiece I’ll have some rebuilding to do, but I doubt that will happen, not for a decade anyway.
Popped in here for the first time in quite a while just to see how some people I follow are doing on the #MagicTheGathering Pro Tour at #MagicConChicago. Since much of the Magic community somehow is still here and I’m, well, not.
There are certainly some people here whom I miss seeing post regularly, and I wish they’d set up camp on #Mastodon or #Bluesky so I could do so. They don’t have to be *only* there - I know many folks who are on multiple services - but being only here means I don’t see them.
I know a lot of creators are here for good reasons (because lots of other people are still here too), but it’s getting to the point that I feel strongly enough about this that it’s time to vote with my dollars.
I know my opinion will not move the needle at all, but I’m thinking of ending my financial support (e.g., on Patreon) of creators who are still active here without having at least an equal presence on another social platform. (Possibly excluding Threads.)
I don’t really post on this hellsite anymore, but I figured I should tweet my journal entry appreciating a couple of online artists whose work I recently caught up on and really enjoy: https://t.co/22WkNgC0tX
Especially since both of them are here! @_pocketss@saintmonstre
I posted a new journal entry last night, but I’m no longer announcing them here because I’m basically not here anymore.
Please follow me on other sites (see my pinned post) if you want to keep up with that and my other nonsense. (Or use an RSS reader!)
@Comrade_Bullski Mastodon has been the stickiest site for me so far. Especially when using Ivory as a client on macOS and iOS.
Bluesky has some promise, but is really still in beta (or maybe more accurately late alpha).
