The world was a little blurry these past few months, or maybe it’s my eyes from wearing 3D glasses for far too long.

The hyper-realism seized your intellectual side, then the expressionism bathed your soul.

Tony once surprised me with a wonderful gift during a dark time: the artwork he designed for the SORCERER vinyl soundtrack, in poster form.

Per Tony: “Only a few exist. I have one. Friedkin has one. And now you have one.”

We’re heartbroken to hear that the great illustrator and artist Tony Stella has passed away. We were fortunate to call Tony a friend and collaborator. We worked together closely these past few years on posters for retrospectives on Hiroshi Shimizu, Mikio Naruse and Meiko Kaji.

My thoughts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.

At the moment, his family is working to gain access to his business and manage next steps.

Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.

I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
