Over the last few months teachers from P-12 have been exploring the use of AI in their teaching practice. Today they are sharing their discoveries, suggestions and more..
Two productive sessions exploring AI, how it streamlines tasks for efficiency & learning side by side with Ts from many grade levels. @HRCE_NS@TILTHRCE
Are you using AI in your classroom? Have a look at this week's program memo for some information and considerations on using AI. https://t.co/1xho45GmCE
A lot of fun over the last few days with Ms. Steeves’ Gr. P/1s @AlderneyElem. Phoneme work with Beebots & Oslo meant 100% engagement & a huge increase in Ss taking risks pairing sounds & graphemes they are still learning. Great job everyone!!!!! @HRCE_NS @HrceLiteracy @TILTHRCE
Any feedback on how to bring AI into #literacy?
💡#1: kid gen. #storystarter (tried “Dwayne @TheRock Johnson science teacher explosion silly” 😁)
💡#2 kid gen. #setting (tried “castle lightening sun beam thunder clouds dark forest”)
More ideas?

Just wanted to share great work from Mr. T’s Gr.3s @hpcs4 because they published a book together (using @BookCreatorApp) about why they like one of their favourite books.

I’ve always loved the Read to Me program @IWKHealth that promotes reading to newborns but was extra impressed when I walked into Mrs. Walsh’s Gr. 2/3 class & saw these boys reading with the newborn … trout !😁 (thx Fish Friends @NSsalmon)

Mr. T’s Gr.3s @hpcs4 were excited to point out their amazing daily writing. They have built a great daily routine of continuing to plan & write each day while dating their work to show how each day’s writing focuses on the day’s mini-lesson 🎯.

Whether it’s #Literacy, #foodliteracy, or pure #funliteracy, (might have invented that last #😁), it’s great to see so many happy faces (no #Literacy focus needed)😄. Love all the dedication @HRCESchoolsPlus program gives to the kiddos we all love so much!

Here’s a gem of a suggestion my daughter passed onto me for what to have ready for March Break #Reading. #1 a favourite to reread
#2 a recommendation from a friend, &
#3 a totally new one

Hammonds Plains Consolidated is celebrating Literacy week. Mrs Corkum is serving hot chocolate, the students are reading to stuffies and author Clara Dugas is here to share stories with the classes. So much fun with books! @HrceLiteracy @HRCE_FSL
#Literacy tip of the day: Make a craft of traditional designs. Research traditional designs of your culture and replicate them in the form of a craft. Be as creative as possible! @barbreidart#FLD2023#FamilyLiteracyDay
