Mater Dei Catholic just closed out a 52-48 win over Del Norte. Jonathan Hawthorne led MDC with 14, Kannon Seals and Jonathan Okhueleigbe had 13 each. Jackson Carpenter (DN) led all scorers with 25.

Mission Bay continues to build towards Open Division contention sans returning all-CIF senior Caleb Newton, who is expected to return for the regular season.

The development of the Bucs role guys — 6-4 Travis Hasley, 6-5 Amari Council & 6-1 Cole Mattingly — has been huge.
