It is important that we Zambians point out the shortcomings of the government. It pains me to notice that in the Zambian narrative, the government means only one person, the president. We rarely hold our immediate leaders MPs/ councilors accountable. It's a tall order.

Leading up to 2021 general elections, there are some notable names on here we stood out and went out of their way to ensure UPND victory.

Of so many, Lanky @LankyObserver was notable in his mobilisation of youths to register and his staying vigilant and going with little sleep through voting and counting nights to protect the votes.

It pains me to see him been so insulted by folks on here for raising concerns over the UPND in government and their re-election prospects.

We really need to stop this Zambia.

How do we build the nation together when all we seem to do is knock each other down?

Me: The Special Number plates…they cost about K10,000., that’s a lot of money just for 3 letters and 3 digits, when is RTSA going to increase the number of letters and digits? In other countries people pay less than that for 7 letters and 7 numbers?

Me: I recently registered a car at RTSA Silverest, and they misspelt my first name, just the last letter of my first name, they put an N instead of an M at the end. The lady who captured my details did not confirm with me to make sure all the details were correct. It was after I was given the Temporary White Book when I noticed the mistake. I went back to the same lady, but she said it was impossible to change the details.

PR LADY: You have to go back there, but you have to pay a Fee.

Me: A Fee? So your system is designed not to correct mistakes?

PR Lady: Just go back there.

Me: 😕

Me: Great East Road is often traffic jammed, l think one of the reasons is that some slow cars drive in the fast lane; then the fast cars keep switching from lane to lane trying to avoid them, so that causes further congestion and slows traffic. . .

PR LADY: Those people who drive slow cars in fast lanes did not get their Lincence in a proper way, because if you got your license in a correct way you should know that this is a fast lane so you can’t drive in a fast lane.

Me: But even senior managers who are qualified and experienced still go for Seminars and refresher courses to remind themselves of what to do; GER has a lot of Billboards, maybe RTSA should put up Billboards to remind slow drivers to drive in the slow lane. . .that can speed up the traffic?

PR LADY: Like l told you, write a letter to the CEO that you are suggesting these things and take it there.

Me: Does he have an email?

PR LADY: People don’t read emails, just take the letter physically.
