@surface Reset an OG SurfaceRT last week. Sadly nothing works for it anymore. I was hoping I'd at least get a semidecent web browser system out of it. Shame 😞
@rauchg@_hlimas I'm not saying you skip security. You've modelled off of Maslow, in your model security is the most basic need. I'm not disputing that, I'm simply saying the peak - Actualisation - is usability not features.
@MalteLandwehr@rauchg I assumed it was based on Maslow where the most valuable thing is at the top and the bottom is the basic staples needed to just exist. It's why I put usability at the top in my mind.
@_hlimas@rauchg I'd say your first reaction was the right one. Usability (incorporating Accessibility) should be the peak of that pyramid. Unusable features may as well not exist. Everything below usability doesn't exist without users and users don't engage with unusable software.
@GergelyOrosz I like to think ClearCase wouldn't have been fumbled in quite the way IBM did - told everyone RTC was the future when it clearly wasn't as capable and in the process pushed the user base to look for alternatives.
@TheBeardyJim @TheMovieDivide Neither of those impact it; you should have watched Ms Marvel and WandaVision on Disney+ and perhaps Secret Invasion to explain Fury.
@TheBeardyJim @TheMovieDivide Thor 4, Quantum mania and Eternals were all a bit weak.
This seems like just an attempt to dump on The Marvels which was a fun film.
Saw #TheMarvels at the weekend. Loved it. Kamala Khan stole pretty much every scene she was in (besides the house fight I could have done without her family though). Some fun concept fights - some cringe but funny singing - and a villain with a reason. A good phase 4 film.
@OakSyder @AlanChaulet@0mnist@pmddomingos Symbian had apps, by the time Apple released the iPhone even PocketPC had apps. While I don't really understand why Apple was able to jump ahead so well, I will say it wasn't the pure tech. How that tech was packaged was far more important. Way off topic now though.
@AlanChaulet@0mnist@pmddomingos Nokia and Sony were both producing Symbian based smartphones long before Apple. Microsoft contributed a lot to PCs, but there were and are alternatives that could/would have flourished in different circumstances. It wouldn't look like today, but those things would still exist.
@techgirl1908 ChatGPT for tidying up docs can be helpful. For code, copilot and gpt can't do anything significant reliably, so maybe useful for scaffolding but not much more. I chose not at all in the poll because I'd say <10% usage when it was an option.
Did a twitch stream this evening; don't often do it, but had OBS open for screen recording for work so why not. Bit of FAF nonsense (talking to yourself while playing is quite a skill): https://t.co/DdBtJdjTET
