A proper friendly tonight against a good FCN team. We knew they’d challenge us but we played some great football at times. All about building on the positives ahead of next season💪
Dom and Luke for MoMs. Great football tonight boys 🔥
Totally disinterested by England prior to him. Felt more excitement for every tournament since 2018’s WC. For that we should at least be thankful.
We fell short but got far closer than the we’ve ever been since I can remember.
Here’s Terry Venables & Bobby Robson talking about Gareth Southgate’s penalty miss at Euro ‘96.
I’m sure both these great footballing men would be delighted to see the current England manager so close to glory again.
Go get that trophy, Gareth. 🏴
4 authors, 4 primary schools, several staff dressed as book characters. 450 children met authors today, spoke with them, got free books and won prizes. A great team around me means that every year is a success.

England miss a serious passer of the ball in midfield. Foden, Rice, Bellingham and Mainoo carry the ball so well but there’s no killer pass. Imagine Kroos in that midfield.

Roy took me everywhere, especially when my dad was ill, and after he died. Non league finals day at Wembley, the women’s FA Cup final at the County Ground, meals with after dinner speakers. He absolutely loved football and was in the truest sense a football man. A sad loss.
It is with great saddness that we have to let you all know that Mr Roy York sadly passed away on Sunday 30th June.
A well known member of the "boiled sweet crew" Roy was a lifelong supporter of Shirebrook Town and when he was not at Langwith Road you would more than likely see him at the surrounding local football teams.
Roy will be sadly missed by everyone at the club and we send our sincere condolences to all of Roy’s family and friends.
Keep looking over us Mr York ❤️
We’ve changed the rules in football needlessly. The game never needed changing like it has been. Never an handball, and sure there’s any genuine advantage from the offside either.
