My AAdvantage business account was hacked on 4/12/2024. 49,600 miles were stolen. I contacted @americanair and they created a new account and told me that my old account would be merged into it.

Two months later, it still has not been merged. I've chatted with AAdvantage Business customer service multiple times. (No phone available for AAdvantage Business--online chat only!)

Every time I check with them (at least 2X per week), I'm told that is being escalated.

My old account is locked. My new account treats me like a new member. My Exec Platinum status isn't available. My previously booked flights aren't available. My accumulating miles are apparently going to the old account.

I've flown AA almost exclusively for my adult life. But they've lost my loyalty.

@micsolana today's @PirateWires three morning takes includes a take from Stuart Landis titled "Bring back the 'assholes'", regurgitating Maureen Tkacik's @TheProspect article which inaccurately represents the meaning of Jim McNerney's "phenomenally talented assholes." The PTAs were the sycophants would could not lead people while the "phenomenally talented team players" were the ones who move the organization forward. I subscribe to PW and am enjoying 3DTs but your team missed the mark on this one. Boeing has problems and McNerney's legacy may be one of them but Tkacik's misrepresentation of the PTA theory doesn't help one understand how.
