Pictures of Saturn I’ve taken over the last decade at @WidenerUniv observatory. Noticeable changes in the rings due to Saturn’s tilt as it orbits the sun. Every equinox on Saturn the rings disappear from view every 15 years. 🪐 🔭
Congratulations to all of the seniors who received an award at tonight’s Awards Ceremony! You all deserve it! Special shout-out goes to Karan Patel for receiving the Physics Key! 🏆🥇@Interboro_SD@Principal_Lytz
This groundbreaking event marks the ceremonial start to the high school renovation project! This is an exciting time for everyone in the BUCS community! It’s going to be a long road ahead but I’m sure the end result will be well worth the wait! @Principal_Lytz@Interboro_SD 👷🏼♂️🚧
Check these Physics posters out! Students did a great job analyzing these dynamics systems. Students applied Newton’s Laws to show how forces determine the motion of objects! @Principal_Lytz@Interboro_SD@ISD_Curriculum
Very cold nights at the observatory this week, but I got a chance to see the Green Comet (it was very faint to the naked eye even with the telescope), and also here is the nearly full “snow” moon (without the snow). 🔭
INSANE conditions on Mt Washington, NH. 120mph+ winds and -95°F wind chill. It is above the tropopause, meaning that these are stratospheric winds.
Footage from the summit live stream 2:30-2:40pm. #nhwx
Wow! Can’t believe this was 6 yrs ago today! Seems like yesterday! I was so honored to have been the 1st teacher in the @Interboro_SD featured in this rather short-lived series! Hopefully someone can bring this series back! So many great people to showcase! @Principal_Lytz
Great night of stargazing with a great group of @Interboro_SD students! We saw Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, double star Almaak (~400 ly), Orion Nebula M42 (~1400 ly), Globular Cluster M15 (~36000 ly), & Andromeda galaxy M31 (2,500,000 ly) 🔭🪐 @Principal_Lytz
Another great day/night! @Interboro_SD AP Physics students completed their investigation of Air Drag and Terminal Velocity and at night, students were treated to spectacular views at @WidenerUniv Observatory of the planet Mars and the Great Orion Nebula! @Principal_Lytz
Today was a great day! @Interboro_SD AP Physics students working on their friction quest during the day and then a great time stargazing with a great group of kids and plenty of awesome space pictures from @WidenerUniv Observatory! @Principal_Lytz 🪐🔭
The @Interboro_SD Theater did it again! Great job to all of the students who performed and helped out tonight and for putting on a fantastic show! There are 2 more opportunities to check this show out! @Principal_Lytz@IHStheater#BreakingtheNews 🎭🎬🍿
