A U.S. F-22 fighter jet shot down an unidentified cylindrical object over Canada, the second such instance in as many days, as North America appeared on edge following a week-long Chinese spying balloon saga https://t.co/qPYEcrP7Lp
The US isn't taking any oil from Venezuela. The Venezuelans seized US oil companies ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips in 2007. The US is allowing the Venezuelans to sell their oil on the open market at market rates, which they could not do before because of the sanctions. US oil companies are investing in Venezuelan oil infrastructure, which will make Venezuelans wealthier at all income levels.
This is an example of the nature of men. All men are naturally violent and are ready to use violence at any sign of disrespect from anyone. It takes the whole of society — laws, regulations, societal norms, taboos, and shaming — to stop men from acting on that instinct.
Modern women often don’t understand this. They think they can get away with anything in a relationship, including having an affair. An affair is the ultimate form of disrespect to a married man. When it involves his best friend and results in a child, it becomes the ultimate betrayal in a male friendship.
Even in Western societies that heavily punish and restrain male violence, some men will still act when the disrespect is extreme enough. This has happened even inside highly disciplined Western institutions.
So here’s the advice: don’t assume that disrespecting a man won’t be answered. In some cases it will be answered violently. While Western law places full legal responsibility on the man who acts, many other cultures see the moral blame as shared. In Western culture it is not. Respect the man you’re with.
I do not condone violence. This is simply a societal observation.
In December 1993, U.S. Army Sgt. Stephen Schap discovered his estranged wife Diane was pregnant by his best friend, Spc. Gregory Glover. Schap sta*bed and decap*tated Glover, then carried the s*vered head in a gym bag to the hospital where his wife was being treated.
He already had a vasectomy. He knew the baby could not be his. He walked out of the hospital and within thirty minutes had figured out who it was.
He found Glover at a payphone on the base, mid-call with Diane. With Diane still on the line, Schap confronted him.
He stabbed Glover fifteen times, then dec*pitated him. He carried out the k*lling in front of witnesses who saw him flee with the head.
He placed the head in a gym bag, returned to the hospital, walked into Diane's room, unzipped the bag, placed the head on her bedside tray table and physically forced her to look at it.
He told her: "Look Diane, Glover's here. He'll sleep with you every night now."
Schap was court-martialled for the m*rder of Gregory Glover in April 1994 and found guilty of premeditated m*rder.
The mandatory life sentence was reduced by the convening authority to 45 years.
Diane Schap testified against her husband at trial, confirming the affair and that Glover was the father of her child.

@wildfreakouts Yes. I remember her. She's was basically bragging that she didn't cook for her husband. I put her original post below but it's on tiktok.

@sm1awesome@AmericanAir This is an uncontrolled cancellation. No airline is going to give you a voucher for an uncontrolled cancellation like weather — that's what travel insurance is for. AA offered it to you at the end of your booking if you purchased through the airline. You screwed yourself, buddy.
Yes, we should. We should also use it to parade around our enemies, like Maduro, and to execute traitors, like Bergdahl, in front of the crowd. We're fast becoming a proper empire.

@__Injaneb96 Same. I'm arrived in Germany in 2018 and my being American, I decided to go grocery shopping at the Edeka in Parsberg on a Sunday. Needless to say, it didn't happen.
As we approach the 250th year of our great nation, this is a good reminder that the Founding Fathers were young men. Their average age was 44 years old, and the youngest signatory was 26 years old.
@Mrgunsngear@RoKhanna No, it isn't worth it. Taxing money from the productive side of the economy and moving it to the non-productive side (government) creates a demand-side economy while reducing capital availability for future GDP growth—the kind Musk has already demonstrated he's capable of delivering.
At best, the $50 billion will only increase inflation in the higher education market. At worst—and most likely—it will be siphoned off by corrupt politicians, government workers, and nefarious NGOs, just like what happened with Minnesota's daycare program. The program won't even perform as advertised.
@elonmusk has already vastly helped increase U.S. GDP by creating Tesla, reducing the barrier to entry into space by orders of magnitude and creating jobs through SpaceX, and simultaneously increasing communication efficiency while reducing costs around the world via Starlink.
But of course you know that—because you're a politician. You're just betting on low-IQ voters and useful idiots not knowing any better so you can secure a 51% majority.
Brad, a 5% tax on Elon's trillion net worth would literally pay for free college and trade school for every American.
And with the market's growth, he still would be worth over a trillion dollars!
You don't think that's worth it?
