@SharonStrausser A3: Although the podcast didn't like me, I really liked using it brought me one step closer to being less intimidated by it. My students would love creating podcasts as a different way of sharing information. On Fridays I do book advertisements so I may try podcasts #LVWPChat17
@JLFalcaro @SharonStrausser I agree Jen! It can definitely be a little intimidating, but if we want to engage our students we need to transform our lessons using different types of technology.
@SharonStrausser The best practice advice I got from the book was to not let technology be intimidating. Use the students and their expertise to learn together. #LVWPChat17
@LeticiaDipipi@SharonStrausser It's funny...everyone complains about the technology in our district, but they don't realize how lucky they are! Hopefully you guys can start to catch up to make things easier for you and your students.
@JLFalcaro @SharonStrausser The idea of the multi-genre project was a little intimidating but I had two thoughts...the kids can probably do some of the things better than I can and I think if these things are implemented over time the students would really enjoy doing a project like this.
@SharonStrausser A1 I like the idea of using different types of formats to present information. The book gave examples such as the article of the week that I really think my students would enjoy doing in the classroom. Being a 1:1 school I think I can incorporate many of the ideas. #LVWPChat17

Children's literacy experiences at home shape the development of their emergent literacy skills. Technology such as Ipads in homes and educational settings enhance these experiences therefore deepening their literacy skills. #PSLVWP#emergentliteracy
