Wrapping up the War of 1812 with creating magazine covers on the war! Students selected aspects of the war to highlight on the cover with titles of articles the reader would find “inside” and a selected quote or two!

After a delay this year in getting going, students jumped into NHD research. Many different topics as they explore the theme of Debate and Diplomacy. Expanding historical thinking and seeing students engaged in topics they selected!

Which Revolutionary war battle was the “turning point”? How would students define success or failure for a battle? Just a few of things students considered as they read, took focused notes and shared thoughts on selected battles!
