Nearly 20 years ago, I committed to be a Troy Trojan. A kid from Hoover that stepped into a locker room not knowing I was the only Freshman on the roster. The blood, sweat and tears were poured into the program until the last pitch. I just thought it was normal to walk off the field with thick blooded relationships with your brothers and coaches. I quickly realized after the playing days were over that the relationships created and maintained were abnormal at D1 programs. It all started from the top with Coach Pierce and Coach Smartt bringing in guys who would be all in for life. Everyone rallies around the monumental moments in sports. It’ll have grown men crying and hugging anyone ever involved chasing that same dream. At some point we all had the same dream - it was and it will always be OMAHA. That dream became reality while getting to experience it with our growing families under the national spotlight in small town Troy, Alabama. It will be a core memory of a lifetime.

… but we are NOT done. We get at least one more weekend of showing the world why little ole Troy is a special place who happens to be pretty damn good at baseball.
