MtG peeps: Have you ever thought “Gee, I sure do love playing Rhystic Study and/or Smothering Tithe in all my EDH decks, but I wish there was a way to make those cards even more unbearable for my opponents?” Say no more:
Back in the center of the Northeast food universe for the first time in a decade. The unmistakable taste of 0-2 drops from Block Constructed PTQs circa 2002.
@RolandMTG This happened to me a few months ago, albeit on a much smaller scale. Received a Korean Crystalline Sliver instead of the Japanese copy I ordered and then spend about 3 days going back and forth with the seller as he insisted it was Japanese.
Played the TopDeckGames Summer $1k Premodern event today. Sadly they only drew 19 people. Ended up 1st at the end of Swiss. 7 out the 8 of us wanted to split the prize $107 each but 1 person “came to play”. They were rewarded for their greed with a quarterfinal loss. Justice!
@Simone_fkt@benson_perry We fire off 2-3 weekly PM events and 1 quarterly $1K here of which they are in reasonable driving range of iirc. We have always split and then played the games for bragging rights/final standings etc and would have done so again this time.
@benson_perry I understand that viewpoint but respectfully when 7 people want to go one way & there is 1 lone dissenting voice, it’s very frustrating and not very community minded of them. Yes the rules are in their favor. This is a relatively small event and there are no invites etc at stake.
The Survival train keeps on rolling. Played the Monday night Premodern at @Top_Deck_Games went 3-0; 6-0
Round 1: 2-0 vs UR CounterBurnMinotaurs
Round 2: 2-0 vs Stasis
Round 3: 2-0 vs GW Madness
UR opponent was not a fan of the turn 2 Absolute Law in game 2. :(
