Mervat Salah, a 52-year-old woman from Gaza, is living with cancer and requires regular kidney dialysis, though her treatment has been halted since April as she remains on the evacuation list without being able to leave for care. Her husband suffers from heart disease and asthma, while their children have thalassemia, a chronic blood disorder necessitating ongoing medical management. The family has endured multiple displacements, 11 times in total, and over two years has lived in a small tent in Al-Mawasi, now shared by 11 members including grandchildren and their pregnant daughter-in-law, who is nearing delivery. In this cramped 4-meter space, they struggle daily to secure sufficient nutritious food, clean drinking water, essential medications for their various conditions, and the funds needed to cover upcoming childbirth expenses for the baby.
