@MrGeographyB Ooo these look fab! I imagine it’s large woody debris being placed to slow flows for flood alleviation, but also creates important habitats too. Lots of studies point to the importance of LWD in rivers, but too often it’s removed (or not available) in heavily managed UK rivers
