Final projects: Data Analysis unit with original source data, 2 Abstracts for publication on Transformational Adaptation! Thanks @FulbrightTeach, @FulbrightGreece for the opportunity, data host @TuvaLabs, & so many others! #iteachmath@IndianaAreaSD https://t.co/x2XVu5iibE
As I play my a favorite memorable moment video for complementary angles for another year, I'm wondering if the #mtbos and #iteachmath folks have moved to a new platform? https://t.co/nyDpBLIKu0
Thanks Jocelyn Foran, @TuvaLabs
for hosting my data unit developed for 2024 @FulbrightPrgrm. the engaging dynamic visuals fostering creativity in data analysis. And thanks for this great write-up! I hope to work with Tuva again! #iteachmath@IndianaAreaSD

Mark it dude. Election Day 2024, the first day I ever printed a mostly AI created worksheet using @briskteaching , and @ChatGPTap It was helpful to have it create the scenarios, and took about the same time compared to adjusting a textbook created worksheet. #iteachmath
Another Story of Sustainability - this one from beautiful Santorini - and my interview with Geogina Nomikou, President of the Santorini Muncipal Council. #iteachmath@IndianaAreaSD

Looking for a primer on understanding #DataScience curriculum at the high school level. Can anyone point me in the right direction? #iteachmath@IndianaAreaSD
Mr. Smith's Mathbox new post from my #Fulbrightgreece, featuring inspirational, and challenging work of leaders on four islands in the Southern Aegean. They also include draft lesson plans I intend to use #iteachmath@IndianaAreaSD @FulbrightTeach

How do you understand problems and find solutions to problems presented by climate change? How about some math? Here's a new post on two data driven projects I've come across @FulbrightGreece! #iteachmath@IndianaAreaSD https://t.co/dNcXyFU05E
Kids say they want to learn more about climate change. Here’s how you can teach about it so your students understand the problem—and know that solutions are possible. 🌱 https://t.co/wM0AunG2Ua
@code_c00000fd @mayak46 @kathyhen_ Then they should be concurrent. Algebra 2 is the end of many student's math career there is never a WHY. If we're bending over backwards rationalizing denominators and proving log identities, we should have a why. If not, it's just mental gymnastics designed to weed people out.
@mayak46 @kathyhen_ I didn't read anything in this article that supported traditional Algebra 2. A majority of that curricula are tools and tricks developed to make calculations with log, trig, or root tables. There's no WHY - "you'll need it later" which is bad pedagogy. DS should be prioritized.
@_CrystalMWatson There's a several skills here that this student shows mastery. Multiplication fact recall is only 1, and not likely what the lesson was about. I would have given partial credit, handed them a multi. table, or calculator and ask them to do it again. I'd bet they'd ace it.
@howie_hua Isn't it time to put this thing to bed? Isn't the Quadratic Formula a relic of a pre-technological age when finding zeros was harder than @desoms? Isn't it now just a clever trick (w/associated tricks) that acts as a gatekeeper to careers in tech? I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
