7 years later, they have remained largely indifferent, happy to outsource the revolution to the very people they ought to decorate with garlands of disused tires..🇳🇬🤬
When you see multitude of politicians hating a particular politician especially in Nigeria where political morality is zero, you should know that that particular politician is special. Peter Obi is a special breed of politician. His type is not common in Nigeria. Let's rally round him and put him in Aso Rock come 2027. Let's see what he's made of. Go and get your PVC.
Peter Obi left these as a governor
N12b and $50m in Access bank.
N12b and $50m in Diamond Bank.
N12b and $50m in Fidelity Bank.
Total N36b and $150m in 3 banks.

I have noted with grave concern the escalating wave of insecurity that has engulfed our beloved nation. Once again, Nigeria is bleeding profusely. From Zamfara, Borno, Sokoto, Katsina, and Kwara to Oyo and several other parts of the country, our citizens can no longer sleep with both eyes closed.
Banditry, kidnapping for ransom, terrorism, communal clashes, and armed robbery have tragically become daily occurrences. What is most alarming is the audacity of these criminals, who now brazenly hold live sessions on social media to taunt the authorities and terrorise the public.
This is totally unacceptable and not befitting of a sovereign nation like ours.
As someone who has served this country at various levels, including as Governor of Kano State and Minister of Defence, where we confronted and significantly reduced security challenges through decisive leadership and community engagement, I remain convinced that insecurity is not insurmountable. What we lack today is not resources, but the requisite political will and sincerity to confront this menace head-on.
The current approach has clearly failed. Despite massive budgetary allocations to the security sector, the situation continues to deteriorate rapidly. Innocent lives are being lost daily, families are displaced in their thousands, and our economy is suffocating under the heavy weight of fear and instability.
We cannot continue on this dangerous path. Nigeria’s security architecture requires an urgent and comprehensive overhaul.
Additionally, to safeguard our socioeconomic wellbeing, the government must prioritise the provision of quality education, modern infrastructure, accessible healthcare, reliable electricity supply, and essential agricultural inputs. This approach will strengthen local food production and reduce over-reliance on imports for food security.
We must immediately prioritise the welfare and motivation of our gallant security personnel, strengthen intelligence gathering, enhance community policing, and, most crucially, tackle the root causes of this crisis; poverty, mass unemployment, and poor governance through massive investment in quality education, skills acquisition, and job creation for our teeming youth. - RMK
One thing I discovered in my visits to South East is that if you as an Igbo man maltreats a stranger, you will be severely dealt with.
If on the other hand a stranger offends you, they will beg you to pardon him or her, that he/she is a stranger.
This phenomenon is captured by many proverbs. I will share three:
1. 'Ojemba enweghi iro' it means a traveller doesn't have enemies, Ndi igbo are born travellers so how can they be hostile with people in their region knowing those people will avenge in their own region.
2. 'ogbu onye biara na be ya adighi ike' meaning he who kills his visitor is a coward.
3. 'Obialu bee mu abiagbula mu, mgbe oga ala mkpumkpu apukwala na azu'. - May my visitor not kill me and on his departure, may he not have hunch back!
Travelling indeed broadens the mind!
“In Nigeria, We Have Two Governments. One Is Collecting Tax, The Other Is Collecting Ransom. Same Country, And They Both Have One Thing In Common, Making Life Difficult And a Living Hell For Nigerians.” ~ Isaac Fayose Reacts
The problem of Nigeria is not in the constitution. The problem is not in the law.The problem is our disregard and disrespect for law and order. There have been agitations in Nigeria as to the proper rotation of power. The Igbo nation wants power. The Yoruba nation wants to retain power. Then the Hausa/Fulani wants power back and for it to remain with them.
In all of these no one sees the inherent dangers in these agitations as being in breach of the constitution. There is nothing in our constitution that says power must resides with these three nations. This is one of the classical examples of constitutional discrimination against other ethic nationalities in Nigeria. There are about 250 ethic nationalities in Nigeria. Let us take for a moment that these agitations are legitimate and good.
Have we pondered for a moment why these three nations want to be the one to hold unto power in Nigeria. The reasons are simple. The cheapest means to get wealth in Nigeria is by being in power. But let me ask. Are these agitations not discriminatory. From available and empirical facts Nigeria is made up of not less than 250 ethnic nationalities. Why must it be that only 3 out of these 250 nationalities are quarrelling to control and rule us.
My humble view is that if Nigeria wants to develop and we must build Nigeria as a nation then we must de-emphasize the idea of who rules and leads us. Our emphasis must be on capacity. Our emphasis must be on vision. Our emphasis must be on patriotism and nationalism. Our emphasis must be on development of basic infrastructures across the length and breath of Nigeria. We must look for leaders and not rulers.
We must allow sovereignty of the people to prevail over gunshots democracy. Talents abound in our nation. We have concentrated too much in name instead of ability and capacity. We have concentrated too much on who you know rather than what you know. We have concentrated too much on abnormalities instead of normal ways of doing things. We have to stop operating on the basis of rule of convinence and go for rule of law.
We have neglected sanctions against deviants behaviour in our public and private institutions. We have become a nation of talking and talking without practical actions. Many conferences and reports of constitutional conferences are gathering in historical archives. The problem of Nigeria is in leadership. We have produced many rulers. There is no leader yet. We may have had regional leaders in the past but we have no national leaders yet. Leaders lead by examples. Leaders don't engage in corruption nor do they condone corruption and corrupt practices.
Most Nigerians have no true allegiance to Nigeria. Our allegiances seem to be to our ethnic nationalities. There lies the reasons for violent agitations for power rotations. The problem of Nigeria is not in the law. The problem of Nigeria is not in the constitution. The problem of Nigeria is in the rulers who rule without exhibiting the true attributes of a good leader. No president of Nigeria that had not exhibited nepotism and sectionalism in appointments.
We equally have followership problems. So for me let good leaders emerge. Good leaders can produce good followership. Nigerians can follow good or bad examples. Just see the recently so called primaries of political parties. All the political parties have no respect for law, order and internal d3mocracy. Parliament who made the laws and they breach it. What sort of country is this.
@Pharmacio001 Interesting numbers. But remember, Peter Obi continues to command one of the most passionate and organic support bases in Nigeria. The real contest is not on Facebook but in winning the hearts, minds, and votes of Nigerians across the country ✌🏾
Before politics, he built businesses. In politics, he built institutions. While others entered public office to acquire wealth, Peter Obi came with wealth, discipline, prudence, and a heart for service.
His record is not built on propaganda but on measurable impact, accountability, and compassion for the people.
This is what leadership looks like.
A New Nigeria is POssible.

This is beyond heartbreaking. When terrorists can commit such horrific acts, record them, and circulate the videos without fear, it is a damning indictment of our security and leadership failures. No mother, no child, no human being should ever endure such cruelty. We must stop normalizing these atrocities and demand accountability, justice, and urgent action.
Terrorists took turns raping a 52-year-old mother in front of her two children. They recorded it and posted the video online.
We aren’t resilient people, we’re just cowards.
In less than 72hrs, the former minister of power’s sister & sons are rescued by the police.
It’s almost a week today since the kidnapping of school Children, but they’re nowhere to be found.
Priorities!
A mother was brutalized in front of her children, and somewhere in government circles, it’s just another headline. The real tragedy is not only the crime itself but how numb we’ve become to repeated horrors. This is exactly why the prolonged captivity of those children and teachers is so heartbreaking. Every passing day raises fears of what they may be enduring. They deserve urgent rescue, and their families deserve peace. A society that tolerates this level of barbarity is in urgent need of leadership, justice, and a collective awakening.
There’s a video of a bandit r@ping a lady. He pinned her down while he threatened to k!ll her if she failed to submit. My mind quickly raced back to the 39 & 42 schoolchildren held in Oyo & Borno forests. Everyday in captivity is another day of uncertainty. My heart is broken. 💔
