A few things that East Grand Forks, Minnesota is doing a little bit differently…
1. Their 10u squirts play in-house until January when they form travel teams
2. Their 10u squirts play half ice games until January when they form travel teams
3. Their 10u squirt teams don’t have more than 10 players on a team
4. Their 10u squirts follow LTAD principles where all coaches are coaching all players in station based practices.
Last season they won the Minnesota State High School championship.
Associations are taking notice of their success and their LTAD (long term athlete development) approach and starting to incorporate these principles into their development plans. Amazing stuff.
@Peter_Bukowski @andrewmertig Just say, “it doesn’t matter what he says, I’ll twist it fit my narrative I’ve built up of him yo get clicks. Then do everything I criticize him for”.
Ava Gardner of Marshfield upsets 2x-Defending Champion Brooke Corrigan of De Pere, winning by major decision (17-4), to claim the Girls 100# State Title! She ends her junior season with a record of 27-1. 🥇 #statechamp#wiaawr
@goodsportztakez It is actually, not hard to look up either. (He tore his mcl). His takes on Rodgers bug me because he’s getting this out of it…interaction. Skip bayless affect. Ignore everything that doesn’t fit your narrative and get everyone to react
@goodsportztakez@Peter_Bukowski No but his condition at the time was…this isn’t hard. His condition at end of this season was better than at those times…and it’s more Peter turns into skip bayless, when it comes to Rodgers
@Chris_Oland@grantpaulsen I don't care what they do. The point of his tweet is drafting a QB and sitting seems to work and is how they do "growth" and "roster building". Thats what they just did with Love. Why would that need an asterisks?
@Chris_Oland@grantpaulsen Exactly, you're making his point...thats what growth and roster building looks like. Not just drafting a 21 yr old rookie and throwing him out there.
This is a must read article.
Data doesn’t lie. Professionalizing youth hockey at young ages does not lead to more elite players. There are great people in Mass but many will tell you it’s a mess. Minnesota continues to show the country how it’s done but nobody wants to listen.
@TopDownHockey "some younger Bluejackets were uncomfortable..." Looks like @BizNasty2point0 actually DID something to help those younger players...and you...criticized and ridiculed someone who tried to defend them....learn from this
