https://t.co/nqz5uXchNv @Mrs_McGhie@PearceMrs. A long read but very interesting, especially about the difficulties in improving one’s weaknesses ‘In the moment, that can feel pretty miserable. But the quickest route to improvement involves stepping outside of our comfort zones.’
@PearceMrs thank you for sharing all your ideas PD related and to do with Business Studies! @PaulHoang88 some excellent ideas here to help all learners
Late to this (catching up on some reading) but a good revisit of retrieval practice.
✅ Use a variety of tasks inc those that retrieve higher order thinking rather than just factual recall (Most important devel IMO)
✅Give, and ensure pupils interact with fb on correct answers
@Mrs_McGhie this is so useful and the A aspect of the quadrant articulates exactly what I am noticing in the most successful classes that I observe! This is a must read @mrgodsiff@ReachDrB@JohnHozack
*NEW blog* Why a third of my lessons are retrieval practice

@NJBlackford Great question! I spoke to a Theatre teacher about the same thing today. Early suggestions include lots of flipped classroom ideas ie brief videos of teacher input, modeling then giving some sort of task related to this. Would love to hear more ideas especially re discussions
@MrNickHart These are phenomenal. This is the power of Edu twitter and this will help 1000s of students and many teachers. I would love to see copies of these
