My favorite pastime has become listening to past GVSU music ed grads (5+ years and farther back) around my district complain about the COE wasting our time and money... SO glad that even 20yrs later, it hasn't improved much for specials teachers.... ๐ #tragic
I think PBL gives students so many opportunities to take responsibility for their own learning with topics that are engaging to them! You gotta get the main course before you get dessert! #EDR321
Why do we not, as educators, monitor student learning in ALL levels of education? Students are students... Regardless of whether they are children or adults. I just don't get it
Thoughts of the day at the bar from Erica and I... There should be clubs for teachers that open at 6pm so we can be home by 9 and in bed by 11 ๐๐
Considering how to build an early understanding of part playing with my 5th graders... How can I prepare them to decode and work together to help each other better understand how to effectively play different parts together at the same time? #EDR321#MusicQuestions#TeacherThings
@Bran_Aho Thanks for sharing! I definitely think that it's important for us as educators to be able to "facilitate" and knowing the difference between compassion and empathy!
Overhearing other student teachers at this coffee shop complaining about their students and CTs is super frustrating... I get that your aren't happy with what might be going on with lesson planning, but honey, ITS NOT ABOUT YOU!!! Your entire career is based on being flexible >:(
Saw this dope thing in classroom management the other day involving "Attendance Questions". These are really cool, broad ice breaker questions for classes and gets everyone involved! Make them shorter with just 1 word answers! #LookItUp#EDT370#AttendanceQuestions
Mastery skill building, while somewhat impractical, is important to incorporate for our students! Not everyone learns at the same speed. Being able to help students learn at their own pace not only builds skills efficiently, but keeps some from getting left behind #EDR321
YES PLEASE!!! For all those out there like myself in the music world that know little about strings, but there's always that chance to have an orchestra as part of your ensembles! #EDT370 https://t.co/K2VlB5vXo5
