This evening a plaque honouring Pope Francis was unveiled in the venerable Chapel housing the miraculous icon of Salus Populi Romani.
The Latin inscription reads: "Francis Pontifex Maximus, who paused 126 times in devout prayer at the feet of the Salus Populi Romani; according to his will, rests in this Papal Basilica."
