@ZaltzCricket@AWSStats Bangladesh Ireland stared before the Ashes test and is still going on. How many Test matches have been completely subsumed by another one?
Excellent turnout and engagement for our first Further Maths lesson with Mr McMahon! Amazing to see so many committed Year 10 students going above and beyond!
We are delighted to publish our very first Ofsted report. The report is a testament to the dedication of staff, the support from parents and carers and the Cranmer Education Trust. Thank you to everyone.

@StudyMaths I love the question on Number of the Day where it asks pupils to convert the number to a different base. Is there an option to generate a load of practise questions of these on another resource?
@IThomTech@BrianClarkeHT@BrianClarkeAcad They do sum me up to be fair. Although I feel maybe should be in that list too! Very well thanks, looking forward to my first teaching day tomorrow. Hope you are well 👍
That octagon question wasn’t even the hardest on the paper in my opinion. Probability 2 marker and the similar shapes one both trickier #gcsemaths#edexcelmaths#mathschat

@Oldmanteacher1 @tombennett71 Becomes a vicious cycle with that sort of mindset. ‘I did attempt to teach you the value of compound interest/rhetorical devices/Ohm’s Law but you had already decided it wasn’t valuable so decided to muck about instead’
@blatherwick_sam Well it’s preferable to not being able to utilise it well! I think I would want them to be able to understand why a particular task is good though, even if that has been centrally provided/planned
@blatherwick_sam I would make a distinction between between being a good task designer and being able to recognise a good task. Maybe the two aren’t mutually exclusive. So much great stuff out there but also a lot of not so good stuff so staff need to be able to choose judiciously
With Year 11, the time has come to … rationalise (the denominator). Not one pupil got the reference, or had even heard of The Chemical Brothers. I despair. #maths#mathschat
Tears of joy as student Erin Ellaby passes Maths - which she didn't think she would. Teacher Rob Jones says "it's all down to her, nothing to do with me really."
