We are aware of a video circulating online showing a man assaulting a female shop attendant at our Shell Kyanja service station at 5:53 p.m. on 7 October 2025.

We strongly condemn any form of violence or misconduct towards our staff or customers. We are in close contact with the attendant to ensure she receives the support she needs, and we are working with the Uganda Police to ensure the perpetrator is held accountable for his actions.

At Vivo Energy Uganda, we uphold our values of respect, integrity, and safety, and remain committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all. Our preliminary investigations point to ASP NSIIMA, a police officer as the suspect.

The officer has apprehended and detained in police custody.

He will be brought to account as soon as investigations are complete.

We have got in touch with the victim and witnesses.

We condemn this behaviour as it contravenes our disciplinary code.
