One thing I’m taking seriously these days is building a life that can survive change. Jobs end. People leave. Economies shift. Plans fail. I don’t want one unexpected event to have the power to completely dismantle me.
Become someone who wastes nothing. A bad job gives you skills. A difficult person teaches you boundaries. A failed idea gives you better judgement. A random conversation gives you a new perspective. A painful year can completely change what you value. You don't need everything that happens to you to be good. The bad often teaches you to appreciate the good. Be
grateful for what goes right, learn from what goes wrong, and remember that one day the
experiences you struggled through will become the wisdom you live by.
Where have you heard of a party without Coca-Cola?😂 We’ll be there to make sure Soweto is RED, Green & Gold ❤️💚💛
And please neh, let that other refreshment stay at home, let’s have one rivalry at a time 😉
Just heard a guy say to a girl” you’re used to your face, you have no idea what it’s like to see it for the first time.”
I am 100% stealing that line and using it over and over again.
People get pissed. When I say this, I have a lot of wealthy friends and I also have a lot of broke friends. Broke, friends often spend time watching a lot of sports, Netflix scrolling a lot, complaining a lot, consuming a lot of news, wealthy friends spend time working out, working on their business, working on their relationships, spending time with their families, their kids. I find that my wealthy friends only consume news that's relevant to their industry or the thing that they're passionate about. Broke friends consume news from every disaster ever, even if it's not relevant to them, everything going wrong and are really in that echo chamber of going wrong. Wealthy friends, they talk about their self development, concept of living and life. My broke friends talk a lot more about politics. My wealthy friends are very much in a victor. I am responsible for everything mentality. My broke friends are often really stuck in the victim mentality. It's a super interesting dichotomy. Another thing is I think a lot of broke people will talk about the past and a lot of wealthy people talk about the future.
