Anyone competent with credibility will clash with the board as they will want to bring in and just as importantly move on players they don’t want. This is where the fans turn on them too as if it’s one of their favourite players they always put them before manager
There’s a pile on with Carrick atm and I agree he’s out of his depth but I’m not excited for his sacking as they’ll most likely replace him with someone even worse (like ole 😫) or in the unlikely event they hire someone competent they’ll clash with the board in 12 months
May 26: Amorim gaslighted us into believing these players weren’t good enough. We’d have won the league if Carrick had have been here at the start of the season
September 26: Carrick’s been let down by the board. The squad needs a complete overhaul, they only bought 3 players
🚨 Manchester United rank 14th in the Premier League for distance covered this season, with 449.1km.
Their numbers are even worse when it comes to high-intensity running:
🔻 18th for sprints — 379
🔻 19th for high-speed runs — 1,364
🔻 18th for sprints per kilometre covered — 0.84
🔻 19th for high-speed runs per kilometre — 3.04

I think people underestimate all the background stuff the management have to do at a club. Coming in when everything’s in place and keeping the wheel on is one thing but setting them up for a gruelling season is another. The team look unfit and woefully underprepared this year
Remember when Jose got slammed after a youngster missed a one on one with the keeper? That player only missed it on the night as he had an awful manager that put too much pressure on him
Jose told them what they need to do
Rangnick told them what they need to do
Ronaldo told them what they need to do
Amorim told them what they need to do
But Jason Wilcox thought they needed to play 4 at the back and it would all be good
When Jose went on that rant explaining how shit the club is top reds hated him and never forgave him but it was from the heart and he hated how the owners had destroyed a club deeply imbedded into football history
The day they sacked Jose I knew it was over
We’re at the stage now where the club sack an ex player and hire either a legendary manager or a world class up and coming manager then sack them in 18 months when they demand a better squad and look to hire an ex player…
