From a reasonably strong, confident start by Starmer this has become a stuttering, unsure, unconvincing performance. Raising more questions than it answers. Not yet โresignationโ bad. But not going well.

@BerenCross Hi Beren, please have a look again at the adjective "stuttered" in this context. It has been used many times in the sporting world, but the dictionary definition is all about speech and nothing to do with actions on the field of play. "recent drought" explains it .

Another, yes, another occasion, the BBC specifically, have used the adjective "stuttering" to describe actions on the field of play... I've lost count how many times it has happened, football mainly, but other sports, too.
Stuttering is a disability and, imo, should only be used
