@IceMetrix So, let me get this straight..your top line consists of a guy whose been in the league about 5 min and has produced squat, an injury-prone reclamation project that has avg 14-16 goals per season, and a tiny Swede that’s been trending downward the last 4 years…mmkay.
@NoodleHairCR7 Pretty rare and indicative when the analysts in the booth say something about it - which they did. It’s clearly offside. And I could give two shits about this stupid sport.
@GinoHard_@FriedgeHNIC I mean, it’s only 2 years so it’s arguably a nice deal for NJ. He’s streaky and serviceable for a team that needs offensive production.
@TalkeyHockey In most cases like this the issue is term. Mantha prob wants at least 4 years and I would imagine most suitors would rather do 2 at most. He’ll get signed somewhere for like 3 yrs at $15.5 mill/yr. NY, Mont, Utah..could also see a sign and trade w/someone as well.
@4thOfJuly365 And shoot the damn ball! Shots create chances and opportunities because it pulls defenders away from their opponents. In a sport where controlling space is vital, create it. Not every shot should be taken to score. Create chances off the shot. Dumb asses.
@4thOfJuly365 The lack of any real offensive strategy is the most frustrating aspect as a viewer. They possess the ball for 10 minutes at a time and it ends after the ball gets passed back to their own goalie who then arbitrarily just launches the fucking ball 80 yards downfield. Wtf is that?
@_j_a_k_e_d If, and it’s a big one, Murashov elevates his game and becomes a truly elite goaltender, the pens have the cap space, equity, and brand to contend for a cup in 2-3 years. They’d need Kindel to continue his development as well. But Murashov is the wild card.
@ThePoniExpress YES! Give the kid some confidence for Christ’s sake. Same with Allar. Organizationally, the Steelers need to start believing in what every other franchise has figured out - youth snd athleticism at QB is essential.
@IceMetrix Not great if you ask me. Murashov is the X factor that could elevate it a bit, but honestly, not very high ceilings for any of these prospects.
@_j_a_k_e_d He’s one guy man. This isn’t prime Crosby or McDavid. This is Jason Robertson for Christ sake. It is absolutely unconscionable that you would give up that amount of production, experience, youth, and speed for Jason fucking Robertson. What is wrong with you people?
@ArnbjornI@fadule_ That wasn’t what he said. He said he’d score. And to be honest, if you put DK Metcalf out there and had Messi deliver him a header…I’m giving him a better than 50% chance of winning it.
@ChrisDokish You want to really win a WC in 8 years? I’ll tell you how. Recruit the 14-15 boys that are currently being groomed as quarterbacks in America and stick them into a soccer development program. Simple.
@savanah2j Take every 14-15 boy currently being groomed as a quarterback in America and stick him in a soccer development program right now and I’ll win you a World Cup in 8 years. I promise you. Those are not just some of our best athletes, they’re also some of the smartest.
@KVanValkenburg If you could take every single 14-15 year old boy currently being groomed to be quarterbacks in America and put them into a developmental soccer program - the U.S. would win the World Cup in 8 years. Those are not only some of the best athletes in America, but they’re smart.
