If not for Caesar, the Gauls would have coalesced into a united state in the face of growing threats from Rome and the Germans. In fact, any general less competent than Caesar would’ve lost to Vercingetorix at Alesia and thus brought that very state into being.
This united Gallic state would’ve conquered Rome, and the mantle of civilization would’ve passed to them. This would’ve gone much smoother than the actual transition to Germanic rule that took place in the 400s AD, bc the Gauls had already had 100s of years of contact with Rome, and had advanced cities, ports, etc of their own. Also, Rome wasn’t already decaying like it was by the 400s, so the Romans would have transferred their knowledge to the Gauls just like the Greeks transferred their knowledge to the Romans. There would have been no “Dark Age.” Much more of ancient civilization would’ve been preserved.
Then, after the Gallic state reigned for a few hundred years, the Germans would’ve taken the mantle from them. But because the Germans would’ve been right next to the Gallic epicenter of civilization for 100s of years by this time, that transition would’ve gone smoother as well.
This is essentially the natural progression of civilizations: the nearest barbarian neighbor conquers the advanced but lethargic empire. Caesar screwed up this natural progression by being just so impossibly good at war that he brought the Gauls firmly under the Roman fold, buying Rome an extra 500 years to slowly decay without any competitor.
BUT there’s absolutely no way that the Gallic state would’ve been able to hold onto Rome’s eastern possessions, because its center of power would’ve been too far North and West (just like Rome was too far West to hold the eastern parts of Alexander’s empire).
That means that when Jesus was born, he would’ve been born into a rump Roman state leftover in the East. This state would’ve still been at war with the Gallic state, so the apostles wouldn’t have been able to preach there, and Europe would’ve never become Christian. Then when Muhammad was born, all the areas in the east that did become Christian would’ve been converted to Islam.
So for Christianity to exist on Earth today, Caesar had to genocide the Gauls.
This comment led to a 38 month prison sentence.
Wouldn't it be funny if that simple fact led people across the globe to repost, quote, or simply copy-and-paste this picture everywhere?
Nikola Tesla was a Serb who brought light to the entire world. Croats repaid him by slaughtering his entire village.
In a month, they will celebrate ethnic cleansing of Serbs as a state holiday. But today, they want to claim Tesla as their own? Shameless!
At the moment, Russia is grinding forward almost everywhere on the front, creating a bit of ambiguity as to their intentions. The overall operational trajectory in Donetsk Oblast, however, is fairly clear. With Marinka captured, they will advance up the N15 line to Kurakhove. (1)
THE CTIL FILES #1
Many people insist that governments aren't involved in censorship, but they are. And now, a whistleblower has come forward with an explosive new trove of documents, rivaling or exceeding the Twitter Files and Facebook Files in scale and importance.
