Why ask about our ethnicity?
A people in a community represent that neighborhood. Why should we divide ourselves from within our own people as human, other than for hereditary medical reasons? That question is the main reason we get divided and then are subject to systemic bias.

We can stop systemic bias by not divulging information to people who have no right to know your personal roots, culture and heritage, unless it saves your life.
