@mayavision@AntigoneJournal It’s at the top of my list as well for all the reasons you’ve given - I can see how it must have been an inspiration for In Search of the Trojan War (the TV series was a huge influence for me also). @thebooksdesk I’m not a Wellington local, but Pegasus Books just off Cuba St Mall is always worth a look, along with Arty Bees and Unity. I used to like Parsons, but its long gone now.
@JayWamsted The rule I try to live by is I don’t take my housework to school, so why should I take my school work home? I do break the rule (big assessments are often marked in the holidays) but I never feel guilty if school stuff has to wait until I have time to do it at school.
@nic_taewa I rarely do a film study in English these days, and will only use a short film (under 20 mins). Haven’t even done that for several years. My approach is to do at school what most never do at home - read.
@XpatEducator@LeeDonaghy @michael_merrick @Sara_Jayne_87 A useful summary (and reminder) of some good strategies Jamie. Thanks for posting. Bill spent a few days at our school years ago, good PD.
