When you pray, how often are you seeking a feeling of peace? We should weigh every prayer and every motive against God’s Word instead of base it on feelings. Peace isn’t from God if it’s a “peace” we’re feeling when our actions are flying in the face of scriptural truth.
When our eyes are on our problems, we will not receive God’s word or trust his power. We can’t think our problems and Gods power are equally great. We will exalt one more the other…we can be so focused on our problems we can’t hear God’s promises and fail to believe God’s power.

Talking about faith is not the same as walking in faith. Faith sometimes means leaving behind everything that represents security, but if He calls, go.
