Our climate needs us to stop polluting, traveling, consuming and producing trash. Working should be done for the good of humanity. That's why a universal basic income is the best idea around.
I want people to pollute less, travel less, consume less. Working less chasing money will do this. That's one very important reason for me to be for a basic income. #ubi@berniesanders
@HouseGOP Life isn't about money until you make everything about money. Capitalism teaches people to fear poverty and do anything (including the nefarious stuff) to stay out of it.
@dantelpowers@BillieJeanKing You bring up his race. His race is the human race. BJK mentioned his skin complexion which was black. And if there is one thing US Americans can't do, is deny how significant this was and still is in a society which still is very much divided along colour lines.
🚨Breaking: Dr. Hussam Abu-Safeia, director of Kamal Edwan Hospital, is being killed by Israeli Occupation Forces.
Dr. Hussam is heavily tutored, and each time his lawyer visits, new injuries are discovered on him.
His last words to his lawyer were: “They brought me here to kill me; this is my end.”
Israel has already killed Dr. Hussam’s son, and now it’s Dr.Hussam’s turn.
Raise awareness and speak out to help him before it’s too late.
I am gravely concerned by reports of a severe deterioration in the condition of Dr. Abu Safiyah.
We reiterate our demands for his release, along with all other doctors being held without charge.
🚨 BREAKING:

🇺🇸🇪🇬New incident during World Cup in the U.S.
A child was denied a photo with Egypt’s national team by U.S. security outside their hotel in Dallas just hours before Egypt’s World Cup clash with Australia.
According to Cairo 24, a police officer shoved team manager Ibrahim Hassan while shouting:
“BACK OFF! BACK OFF!”
Ibrahim held his ground saying:
“DON’T PUSH ME!”
A member of Egypt’s coaching staff then stepped in and confronted the officer:
“ARE YOU CRAZY?”
The confrontation quickly ESCALATED.
Ibrahim had to be restrained by Trezeguet and other staff members as the officer pulled out handcuffs and appeared ready to make an arrest before tensions eventually cooled.
«Fatto.
Germany’s leader Friedrich Merz, a multimillionaire who led the German arm of Wall Street giant BlackRock, is governing exactly as expected.
He is restricting worker access to sick leave, in the name of increasing competitiveness. But the main reason the German economy is so uncompetitive is not worker protections; it's high energy prices.
Germany’s pro-war "Greens" successfully got the government to shut down its nuclear power plants (the greenest form of energy), and then they insanely opened coal plants (the dirtiest form of energy). (France gets c. 70% of its electricity from nuclear, and has significantly lower CO2 emissions per capita than Germany, and much cheaper electricity.)
Then Germany boycotted cheap Russian energy, and its NATO "allies" blew up the Nord Stream pipelines. Now Germany is importing expensive LNG from the US, and its manufacturing firms are shutting down factories, because high energy costs have made local manufacturing too expensive and uncompetitive.
Instead of solving that problem, Merz is blaming workers for taking sick leave.
NEW: 🇩🇪 No more sick leave for the Germans
German Chancellor Mertz announced that, starting January 1, 2027, Germany will require a doctor’s note before employees can take a sick day.
