Can I be honest? I don’t hate this trade. The Blackhawks were going to be in a position where they were choosing between Carels and Reid at 4th overall and hoping one of them would be a #1 D. Byram although not a #1 guy yet has steadily improved every year he’s been in the league analytically and production wise. He’d also be the Blackhawks best defenseman NEXT year. Where as the other guys would take several years to get to that level and even then they might not even get as good as Byram. You’re now gambling on Bowen Byram to be a #1 guy and that’s scary but if you’re scared to take a chance how the fuck we gon get rich?
