I am just back from the Oval and I regret to inform you that London has in fact fallen.
More Arsenal shirts than Surrey shirts. Forget about Palace or Charlton.
Arsenal fans everywhere in South London. Yesterday I was in East London at my parents - their local pub had more Arsenal fans in it than West Ham fans for the Conference League 3 years ago. Lots more. Not even close.
The "London FC" people are right. I don't like it, but they're right. And given the way that London tends to eat the world, don't get smug if you're outside of London. If we have half a decade of Arsenal dominance, by the end of it they'll have taken over Liverpool and Manchester too and the economy will be one giant Arsenal merch store with a few farms and data centres tacked on.
Foreign leaders will grant profitable trade and visa deals in return for being allowed exclusive pre-access to the new Declan Rice hologram experience in the Emirates Museum.
@FootballEra_ My brother I am so over all the fake critical fans. I can't stand this shit dude it's a weird scapegoat mindset where they have to pick out individuals (or the manager) when it's not perfect. They must miss the mustafi/luiz days. Losers.
Former Arsenal man, Hector Bellerin's powerful words on modern football 🧠:
🗣️ "In men’s football, there isn’t that sense of unity because there’s no real social awareness.
We’re a very privileged group, and many players never question life outside their own bubble. When you grow up in that bubble, it’s hard to leave.
I’ve been lucky... I move in both worlds, and I know the problems people face. There’s a big gap between footballers and ordinary people: one idolises the other, while the other doesn’t know how to relate and mistrusts intentions.
It creates power dynamics and distance. I made a conscious decision to go out, live normally, and be seen as just another person.
You only realise how important that freedom is when you lose it. And since there’s no real closeness, there’s no awareness of each other’s lives."
In the history of football, 471 players have won the World Cup.
Of them, only 80 players have won both the World Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
From this elite group, only 9 players have won the World Cup, the Champions League, and the Ballon d’Or.
Among those, only 2 players have won the World Cup, the Champions League, the Ballon d’Or, and the Golden Boot.
And yet, from all of them, there is only one footballer who has won the World Cup (1), the Champions League (4), the Ballon d’Or (8), the Golden Boot (6), and the World Cup Golden Ball.
@Mtbaum55 Good point. The strategy will be location based.
1. Light pleasantries/catch-up on work, relationships, life in general
2. Sports, multiple GOAT debates
3. State of the world: geopolitical climate & warfare
My goals for the night:
1. Drink beers w friends
2. Drink beers w friends in a second location - somewhere with food
3. (Tentative) Drink beers w friends in 3rd location
4. Home at a reasonable hour
This is a "virtual dj" that just performed red rocks. No one on stage, just music and visuals.
In my opinion, this fucking sucks.
We shouldn't stand for this erosion of culture, the same way we don't stand for ghost production.
Vote with your money.
6 - Arsenal in October 2025 are the first English top-flight team in history to play six games in a month and win them all without conceding a single goal. Philosophy.
“Well I played different against City. There were 43 defensive structures.”
They thought he was exaggerating and he gets a lot of backlash.
During the game, we get to see different tactical setup;
—Morphing Build up
—Asymmetric structure
—Inverted Role
