7th grade students used the design process to plan, design, 3D model, and 3D print their own marble maze. Students then tested, timed, and graphed each other doing the marble mazes. #EHRoyalPride
I am excited to have some new 3D printers for my classroom this school year. Can't wait to see what my students are able to create with them. Here are some things that I have 3D printed for my classroom with them so far.
One of my favorite student projects, and possibly the last time I'm able to do it. Students designed pull toys that use mechanical gears to transfer energy from the spinning wheels to make two parts of the toy move. #EHRoyalPride
7th Graders have been designing keychains that we will hopefully 3D print soon. They have also been learning about how to assemble with our 3D Computer Modeling software this week with their Pegboard Toy designs. #EHRoyalPride
8th grade gateway classes were introduced to our robotics fischertechniks this week. They practiced being able to communicate clear specific instructions to each other to build an object without looking. Can't skip steps or assume understanding in robotics. #EHRoyalPride
Bill Decker from Purdue Extension Discovery Programs visited our 8th grade gateway classes this week to teach the students about drones. Students had the opportunity to fly a few drones around some obstacles in my classroom. #EHRoyalPride
Bill Decker from Purdue Extension Discovery Programs visited our 8th grade gateway classes a few times this semester to teach them about the 4-H rocketry program and the students also built rockets and launched them.. #EHRoyalPride
7th grade technology did a puzzle teamwork activity right after fall break. How well did they work together once they realized they didn't have all the pieces to the puzzle? Took some cooperation and perseverance, but they all finished. #EHRoyalPride
