one I’d probably trust is Garry Tan. He’s pretty underrated IMO but he’s nailed so many hits early like Coinbase, Instacart, Flexport and the list goes on… He’s got this intuitive sense about founders that seems genuine and not just hype. Also seems pretty approachable and shares lots of good insights openly. But as always gotta trust your gut and research yourself too... not just copy paste someone else’s picks!!
When F/G index is that low, 17 is super extreme fear! I usually see it as a chance to slowly buy into things I’ve been eyeing for a while... Def not all-in at once though cos markets can always drop further than you think (learnt that the hard way haha). So I try spreading buys over time kinda DCA style... But also depends how much cash you’ve got lying around if you’re already fully invested it might be smarter to sit tight :S
I reckon it might give a lil jolt ya know $SEA got peeps stackin XP holdin onto their NFTs with this new OS2. NFT games been dead quiet lately so this could spark somethin get the trades flowin maybe even bump prices if the vibe sticks.... But man Blurs fuckup still stinks they went nuts with airdrops and no fees then bam whales dumped everythin and it was lights out.... OpenSea some people callin it a desperate cash grab pullin $150k a day in fees while farmers just churn shit:( If its all hype and no guts could crash hard leave us all screwed again. Depends if they play it straight or let it turn into a damn listing circus. Stay away!
LIBRA hyped by Milei flopped as a pump and dump tankin Argentinas last hopes.... What a scam. Was Mileis freaking voters he rug pulled... poor people. Future political memecoins need real utility like fundin projects total transparency voter input and tight supply to dodge the cash grab trap... Or maybe NO POLITICAL coints, what about that
This could really swing either way tbh. $SEA pushin XP for holdin and tradin NFTs on their OS2 setup people say its already juiced volume some farmers were goin ham til they paused XP for bids and listings. NFT market’s been a ghost town lately so this might wake shit up get some buzz goin if they keep it legit. But Blur’s shadow is huge they soared with token drops then crashed when whales dumped and the hype died.... OpenSea seems to be copyin that vibe if $SEA just a quick grab to dodge a sale bust could bleed out fast. Hinges on if they build real juice or let farmers tank it again. Make no misstake, it will take a LOT for NFT to come back and i doubt Opensea will be the driving factor here... rather big OG projects offering value
I use Kraken a good bit not as much as Binance but it’s up there. Key factors for me are security first they’ve got cold storage and 2FA locked down tight never been hacked which is rare for an OG exchange.... Second liquidity’s deep trades zip through no bullshit delays or slippage. Third fees are fair not the cheapest but maker taker setup keeps it reasonable specially if you’re tradin decent volume. Plus its US-based outta San Francisco got that trust factor and 24/7 support if shit hits the fan. GOGO with KRAKEN guys
RTFKT for sure. They’re that crew Nike scooped up back in 2021 pushin virtual sneakers and NFTs hard. Was a big deal at first droppin stuff like CloneX with Murakami and those CryptoKicks that had folks hyped. They were killin it with collabs and community vibes pullin in millions like that $3.1M sneaker drop with Fewocious in seven minutes flat.... thats sick.
But shit’s changed fast. They’re windin down now set to close up shop this month January 2025 after Nike pulled the plug.... Its been brutal some callin it a straight rug sayin they overpromised and ghosted no real deliverables just extracted cash and dipped. Others point out their gear’s still movin at retail or double so maybe not a total bust....Was all about mixin digital and physical fashion but looks like the NFT hype couldn’t hold em up once the market cooled
$HBAR this time for another US-based pick. I’d also throw in $ALGO from Algorand outta Boston. Its got that American roots vibe founded by an MIT brain Silvio Micali and its built for fast cheap transactions with a focus on realworld stuff like payments or assets... This is an underdog with solid tech not just meme fuel. Could slot into a reserve nice keepin it diverse and tied to US innovation without leanin on the usual suspects
@hubdotxyz@JMilei $LIBRA crashed hard all hype no guts just a pump and dump :( Future political memecoins gotta fund real shit like roads be wide open with the plan let holders vote and cap the supply tight or they’re just more cash grab trash.... SAD!
Live streaming play with Abstract Live is makin some noise and its got a shot at changin the game for Web3 creators if it sticks the landing. They are pushin a setup where streamers earn XP tied to their ecosystem lettin folks watch without loggin in but needin an account to tip or chat. Thats slick keeps it open yet hooks the crypto crowd with rewards. Buzz says they’ve got custom links and beefy moderation tools now too which could pull creators lookin for a fresh vibe. If they nail the tech no lag low fees and make XP mean somethin real like cash or clout it could set a new wave where Web3 creators ditch the old platforms for somethin they own more of....
But its a gamble tho. Streaming a beast Twitch and YouTube got it locked and Web3 still small potatoes for most. If Abstract can’t scale or the streams stutter folks’ll bounce quick. Blur token flop showed how fast hype dies if the value ain’t there XP could just be another shiny dud. Some people hint they’ve got over 700 creators already which is solid but if they don’t grab a big chunk of eyeballs fast it might just be a niche toy not a meta shift. Could go big if they keep it smooth and pull some big names otherwise its fightin uphill to matters!
Words been floatin around that OpenSea tried to sell but nobody was buyin kinda wild for a platform that big... Now they’ve flipped the switch on $SEA farming and Im wonderin if its gonna spark an NFT bull run or just crash like Blur did.... 😝
Could go either way tbh. $SEA got folks hyped earnin XP for holdin NFTs and tradin on their new OS2 setup might pull some volume back their way. Others say farmers were goin nuts biddin and listin till they paused that for XP which could mean more stable play if they nail it. NFT market been dead quiet lately so a jolt like this could wake it up get some green goin. But Blur’s ghost looms big they had crazy volume too til the airdrop hype faded and whales dumped it all.... Shit show really... OpenSea already takin heat for copyin that playbook if $SEA just a cash grab with no real legs could end up bleedin out same way. Guess its really down to if they keep it real or let the farmers run it into the ground again. Dont look bright to me!
The FTX saga still wild that $1B+++ refund hittin now and $15B more on the way is a fat stack of cash. Could go either way tbh. If people feel good and start buyin back in we might see some green candles poppin off BTC could ride that wave up. But if everyone still spooked from the whole mess and just cashes out bam selloff city could tank hard. Community vibes are all over some say its a lifeline others think its just more fuel for the dump. Guess its down to how much trust is left and if folks wanna roll the dice again. I´m out!
I love $KAITO (holding). The tokenomics are out 10% to Yappers and Genesis NFT holders vestin monthly sounds like they’re tryna keep it steady not flood the market all at once. I’d prolly hold most of mine seein how Kaito is pushin this AI Web3 info thing could be big if it pops off.... Might sell a little early tho just in case the hype spikes and dips fast you know how these things go. People are mixed some say hold for the long haul others think the big shots might cash out quick. Guess it’s about how much you vibe with their plan....
@hubdotxyz@kanyewest Kanye droppin $YZY holdin 70% of it which screams dump risk! I’d tell him lock that stash up for a year minimum give it real use like Yeezy exclusives and keep the numbers straight no shady shit. X buzz says trust is key or its just another celebrity coin flop...
If I’m droppin an NFT collection today I’m goin with Solana no question! 🤠 It’s fast as hell transactions zip through in seconds and fees are dirt cheap like pennies compared to Ethereum gas gouge.... Thats huge for mintin and tradin without scarin off buyers. Plus the ecosystem is poppin Phantom wallets marketplaces like Magic Eden its all smooth and baked in. Ethereum is OG but its slow and pricey unless you’re on a layer 2 and even then its a hassle for newbies. Solana got the vibe for a fresh drop keeps the hype alive without breakin the bank!
My favorite wallet gotta be Phantom hands down. Its smooth fast and just works especially if you’re messin with Solana stuff or NFTs. Been usin it for a while and it hasn’t let me down yet! 😃
When I’m pickin a wallet tho I look at three big things. First is security gotta be tight non custodial with my keys locked down cause I ain’t tryna get drained. Second ease of use if its clunky or takes ten clicks to send somethin I’m out need it quick and simple. Third is what it supports gotta handle the chains and tokens I’m into like Solana or Ethereum not some halfbaked singlecoin deal!
$ANIME, $BERA, $ME and $PENGU all tanked this year :( folowing the same old script: crazy hype, weak foundations and a quick fade when the buzz died.... If $SEA, $DOOD and $KAITO wanna dodge that mess they gotta switch it up. $SEA got scale already so it should tighten up operations and push realworld use cases not just ride the wave. $DOOD needs to lean into its community and deliver something people can actually use like perks or features tied to the token. $KAITO got that AI angle so it should focus on legit utility. Think tools or services people stick around for,not just flipp. All three need solid plans that outlast the pump keep the degens from dumping and build value that doesn’t vanish when the spotlights off. Thats the only way they break free!
I guess this event is already over but will reply ayways. For events the Main Stage talks are a big draw: getting unfiltered takes from heavyweights on where Web3 headed feels like a must. XYZ Paris is another one I’m hyped for mixing AI with NFTs in ways that could spark some wild ideas. Ordinals Paris too with Bitcoins blockchain getting a fresh twist through rare digital stuff. Might shake things up!
Creatorswise I’d love to see Beeple in action his crazy visuals always push the edge. Takashi Murakami’s a vibe too blending pop culture with blockchain in a way that’s just slick (I own a lot of NFT´s and Art, BIG FAN). XCOPY is glitchy, raw energy got me curious what he’ll bring to the table.
For projects: Pudgy Penguins are on my radar as theyve turned a cute concept into something with real leggs. Yuga Labs with their $APE ecosystem keeps flexing muscle and Im keen to see their next move. The Sandbox is another one building out virtual worlds that actually feel alive.
Very interresting overall!
