@MartinSLewis Heating has stayed on but on lower max temp and defined heating periods. @ShellEnergyHome increased DD from £550 to £870 pm without asking even though I was £1200 in credit. Kept emailing to say I’d owe thousands more if I didn’t pay. It’s truly frightening.

@shahvmira As an adoptive father this is completely and utterly ridiculous. The best thing we did when the kids were young was…. to get a dog. And more recently a 2nd. And as for a writer - working for a publishing agent - I understand many writers are home based. Heart goes out to you

@FelicityHannah I’m in exactly the same boat with @ShellEnergyHome - I’m currently £1260 in credit and they auto increased my monthly payments from £550 to £860 a MONTH. I managed to speak to someone to reduce the payment but they warned I’d be in debt within 3 months.
