My family and I each lit a #yellowcandle on #YomHashoah remembering victims of the Holocaust. Earlier, at @yomhashoahuk commemoration, I was privileged to hear first hand testimony of survivor Bronia Snow, aged 95. Hoping and praying for a kinder, peaceful world. #AmYisraelChai
@historytastic @Ethical_Leader True but might be the school haven't been explicit about the reason for their request. Similarly, it can be useful for a governor to gain first hand experience of trips which can inform strategic decisions and oversight. Again, this could be made explicit.
@Headteacherchat If financially unviable run by school, less likely to be viable for external provider seeking a profit. School should not subsidise wraparound care - but should also consider the cost in *not* providing the service such as any risk of falling roll. Happy to receive DMs!
@EdRoundtables For a handmade pen, beautifully crafted from UK wood, in my opinion, it would be worth it to pay more and to have a pen that writes as beautifully as it looks. I'd be interested! Good luck!
@Headteacherchat I also recommend Jill Berry's @jillberry102 brillant book. In addition I would recommend using a checklist eg from The Key @TheKeySL https://t.co/D14oF2aZQM
@mrrmoss@Penny_Ten@MsKarenGiles A beautifully written letter, Raph. Devastating news - Karen empowered so many of us & had it not been for her trust in Leadership, I wouldn't be where I am now 🙏🏽
So beautifully written about a truly wonderful woman. I feel so privileged to have spent time in her presence. Such a remarkable and inspirational person.
@Penny_Ten@MsKarenGiles Thanks Penny and condolences to you as well. Even having had months to prepare for her passing, it's still so unbelievable and devastating.
@Penny_Ten@MsKarenGiles Wishing condolences to all @MsKarenGiles family and friends. Here is a letter I wrote to Karen a few months ago. It seems appropriate to share it now. The world has lost one of our brightest stars. Karen leaves an enormous legacy. What an absolute privilege to have known her. RIP
