@drjenmarsh Thank you! I had always thought the geometric was treated as a discrete distribution which is probably where the confusion stems from.

In FS1 (Edexcel) the textbook interchanges the inequality for critical regions for type 1 and type 2 errors. Eg, binomial < 0.05, geometric <=0.05. Can someone please clarify whether a < or > is sufficient for all distributions? @PearsonEdexcel
