I actually feel bad for the Brads, Chads and Angry Dads who spent the year complaining about Taylor Swift interrupting their football because I spent the season trading Swift/Kelce memes with my 14-year-old daughter (who previously didn't care about football) and now it's like a fun thing we share? Which is freaking awesome? (Also she loves that I met Jason once.)
I just completed the Quizizz Learning Path on Elevating the Fast & Curious EduProtocol with @Quizizz! I learned how to leverage Quizizz features to really amplify this EduProtocol with my students! https://t.co/VN6ugMgB9O @eduprotocols@JenBaselice

How do we ease students back into academics after a break or long weekend? Check out this post to learn how one teacher implements Minimum Mondays: https://t.co/Sj7vXUIKry #edchat#mindfulness#teacherchat
There is zero chance that I’m doing any sort of schoolwork over this break. I’m not even checking my email.
So why would I expect my students to do homework? Makes no sense.
Sleep. Play video games. Watch movies. The math will be there when we get back.
Just because teachers speak up/ against or disagree doesnt mean they're not "all about the kids". In fact, they may recognize that the 'new" mandates or curriculum aren't effective or more likely just recycled ones from the past that weren't effective the first time.
Just in case you need to put on a film this week...we'll just leave this here.

I’m seeing a growing number of students complain: “My grade doesn’t reflect the effort I put into the course.”
Public service announcement: You don’t get an A for effort. You earn it for excellence.
Success is measured by the level of mastery you show, not how hard you work.
#Mindfulness is paying attention to the here and now with kindness and curiosity, and then choosing your behavior.

A school district will pay an outside consultant who is NOT a teacher $2500. BUT if they have a teaching credential board policy is to pay only sub pay of $250 for the exact same job. This is seriously lunacy to value a practicing expert at 1/10.
