After reading a book about outdoor rinks, our friends were very excited to make their own. “We need a frame and something to hold the water!” We collected materials, designed a rink and did our best. “ I think it will be slushy water at home time”. @mrs_mcnish

Like the Three Wisemen, our friends wanted to share gifts with baby Jesus. Everyone worked hard to design special wrapping paper and then wrote when they would give baby Jesus. @mrs_mcnish

Snow has arrived!!! Some friends think it’s a delicious treat, so we collected the yummiest looking snow and brought it inside. Ask your little one what they thought about the melted snow. @mrs_mcnish

Christmas joy has been spreading through our classroom this week. From candy canes, trimming the trees and nutcracker ballerinas. @mrs_mcnish

“Mrs. Hantz, we need you for our pattern!” Even before school started, our friends were putting their math skills to work by make a pattern with their coats.

While practicing our E’s this afternoon, some of our friends went above and beyond by making a pattern with upper case and lower case E’s. @mrs_mcnish

McDonald’s is open for business. Our friends have turned the dramatic centre into McDonalds. They have been busy making signs, food and coffee machines. Ask your little one about their favourite part of our store. @mrs_mcnish

Sometimes we play with our food at school. We have been exploring patterns, and we are using our snacks to create different patterns. 🍎🍏🍎🍏

With Christmas quickly approaching, each student decorated a link in our countdown chain with a picture of a favourite family holiday tradition. Each day we will take one off and students will get to share a special holiday memory/ tradition. 🎄☃️

Q is for question. Today we tried to find the answers to the questions our friends brought in. How do flowers bloom? Why are blocks hard? How does temperature work? How do they make furniture? And many more!
