Teaching literature this year for grade 6 at @CAWaterbury, and these one-pagers came out great! Students showed theme, plot, setting, characters and conflict for the story “Greyling” by Jane Yolen. So much better than a quiz! #literature#standup4CAW
So grateful to one of my @CAWaterbury 6th grade parents who donated these books to our classroom! These will come in handy when we need to research scientist and inventors! #scientists#inventors
It was a lab day yesterday for grades 8 and 6 at @CAWaterbury! 6th grade studied how liquids move using heat (to model the earth’s interior) and 8th grade experimented with states of matter!
Thank you to all the families who ordered books this month- I was able to get all of these free for our classroom! I can’t wait to get these into the hands of 6th and 7th graders at @CAWaterbury! #middleschool#literature
6th graders at @CAWaterbury put their building skills to the test! After describing attributes of a scientist, they had to build an index card tower. Here is our winning group! #whatisascientist#standup4CAW
