@JoyceMatthews_ @Reid83Lindsay @Paulalacy10 @13teragram @j_henderson26 @MrsWatsonArtDes @LiziElliott1 @kmcewan12 @MrsGrace19 #ff1na I'll be using the four points of reflection - learner motivation, feedback opportunities, assessment of past experience, meaning to current practice - as check points before I implement any new learning

@JoyceMatthews_ @Reid83Lindsay @Paulalacy10 @13teragram @j_henderson26 @MrsWatsonArtDes @LiziElliott1 @kmcewan12 @MrsGrace19 #ff1na The main principle I'm going to use more is the concept of 'transfer' - making links from new learning to existing learning explicit for staff involved to provide reassurance (positive emotions) and give new solutions to old problems (linking past knowledge)

@JoyceMatthews_ @Reid83Lindsay @Paulalacy10 @13teragram @j_henderson26 @MrsWatsonArtDes @LiziElliott1 @kmcewan12 @MrsGrace19 #ff1na I found reassurance in the process given on planning effective learning - positive learning environment, addressing present concerns, linking to existing knowledge and providing continuous feedback. I find comfort in a process with clear stages!

@JoyceMatthews_ @Reid83Lindsay @Paulalacy10 @13teragram @j_henderson26 @MrsWatsonArtDes @LiziElliott1 @kmcewan12 @MrsGrace19 #ff1na 'How do their (teacher's) brains determine if / what they take away from professional learning? - this made me think about when planning PD, what will my staff still be thinking about the morning after the course before? What's the 'sticky' learning points?

[MrsAitken_84 @Mrsaitken8]

@JoyceMatthews_ @Reid83Lindsay @Paulalacy10 @13teragram @j_henderson26 @MrsWatsonArtDes @LiziElliott1 @kmcewan12 @MrsGrace19 #ff1na I liked the idea of reading about 'brain friendly' learning - too often I feel I'm fighting how mine's (and other peoples) works when it comes to new professional learning that I'm taking part in or leading.
